Eaton Conservation Commission
January 12, 2009
Meeting called to order by Paul Savchick at 7:00 PM. Present were Paul Savchick, Rick Young, Dick Brisbois, Judy Fowler, Marnie Cobbs and Dick Fortin as guest.
Minutes of the December 8, 2008 meeting were unanimously approved.
 TREASURER’S REPORT Dick Brisbois reported:
Eaton Conservation Fund $ 5,796.82
Forest Management Fund 14,462.45
$20,259.27
It was unanimously voted to reimburse the Eaton Conservation Fund the $2000 borrowed from it for the Forest Management Fund in November, 2008.
FOREST MANAGEMENT The charge for planking work on the new bridges on Willis Bean Rd., contracted out to the GFI Co., is higher than anticipated, in part due to removal of extra material on the bridge that was frozen. A vote was taken re: paying this higher cost with votes for by Paul, Rick and Dick B. and votes to abstain by Judy and Marnie. A vote to pay the White Mt. Lumber Co. for the bridge planks passed unanimously.
5. FOSS MOUNTAIN The John brown Co. has not been able to do any clearing on Foss Mt. thus far. They are scheduled to do so in the summer/fall, 2009.
6. MASTER PLAN The various areas thus far researched were addressed and discus- sion will continue next meeting.
The next meeting will be February 9, 2009 at 7:00 PM.
